Alynna Stark often suspected she fell for the wrong people. Her first match seldom desired anyone besides a good swordsman. Even then, he became dead before his time. The gods must have found her grief amusing since whoever she loved followed suit.

So, she never intended to fall for Jaime Lannister. It betrayed House Stark, the North, herself the most, and yet, it was the truth.

Jaime Lannister lost what people called 'honour' long ago, he remained a Kingsguard despite that. He knew what he deserved in this world, Cersei, a sweet poison, but still poison. Regardless, Ned Stark's daughter might have been the last person he expected to change any semblance of that. The idea could be as mad as the Mad King himself.

But they were only human, and the gods had fashioned them for love. It was their great glory and their great tragedy.

ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO GRRM BESIDES MY OWN CREATIONS

hi there, wrote this fic right before season 8 came out and lost motivation after how shit the ending was. I then read the asoiaf books and realised how amazing the series still is. Rereading this fic now I see many mistakes and errors with how I portray certain characters and the general story, so it won't be any time soon, but I plan to rewrite/finish this story eventually...one day.

There were two babes in the Tower of Joy. Two babes tied so closely to their parents, Ned had to make the decision. One with hair like raven feathers, eyes as grey as steel, and a face of a true Stark. The other, with hair like moonlight, eyes like an indigo pool, and every delicate feature that the Targaryens held above all else. Aegon and Visenya. The prince(ss) that was promised. -- Rhaella made a choice that day Rhaegar's heir arrived on Dragonstone; to forever hide the parentage of Visenya Targaryen and to cut her completely from the prophecy her son was so dedicated to. Visenya Targaryen, Daughter of Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen was no more; in her place grew Rhaenar Waters, bastard daughter of The Mad King and soon to be heir apparent. -- Incest warning, major character deaths, gore, smutty scenes... typical Game of Thrones warnings Runs on a similar line to Daenerys but with changes and different pairings and decisions. I won't lie, there is a whole host of relationships and funny business going on with this book; so expect Jon, Mero, Oberyn, and Drogo at the very least. AN: I'm going to be honest with you, this is a long and wild ride that you may or may not read. It goes through each season episode by episode and takes Daenerys place with different outcomes. There are multiple endings for those who either don't mind Incest, or would prefer to completely steer clear. It's completely up to you. So if you read, thank you so much; and if you don't, I hope you find the right story for you if this isn't the one.

Rhaenyra asks, staring at Aelanna, her Lanna, with unshead tears in her eyes, hoping that they tell what she wants to say, but cannot. ㅤ"You mean, everything, to me." Aelanna replies with a harden tone. She didn't want to believe that Rhaenyra really thought that, that she didn't matter to her. Not her. Not ever. ㅤ"Stay here, with me.." Rhaenyra begs with a quiet voice, trying one last time to change her cousin mind, but knowing already that is was going to be in vain. ㅤ"I must go, I'm going to give you the Iron Throne." Aelanna reaches her hand towards Rhaenyra's and holds them together, for awhile. Rhaenyra looks at their hands with a teary face and smoothes Lanna's hand with her thumb. ㅤ"..in another life, I would make you stay."
