Tyler is a hard working student at the practical peasant pit of Rudford High, and he is determined to keep it that way. Being a nerdy drama-invested teenager with a shitty family life and no friends apart from Connor, life doesnt seem to go easy for him. Despite being a social outcast, he tries to ignore all the faults he finds in society, refusing to let other students and their idiotic values bring him down- and yet to Tyler, the world seems determined to do just that.
The only reputation he has ever had is for being a good worker, being focused and having his ideas straighter than his sexuality... He cant let a little trouble ruin it all.
But will an unlikely involvement with Troye Sivan, one of the most arrogant, tattooed and lip-ringed jerks in the school change this? From the boys wandering lips to his surprising drama interest, the popular student enters Tylers life without warning and flips it around with his little finger

At the age of 10 they make a promise to never leave each other and stay best friends forever. Not all promises last though. As soon as he turns 18, Troye leaves his home to America to live his dreams of becoming a singer and actor. With 2 ep's that sold millions and his own movie franchise, you could say he is doing great. His full length album comes out December 4th yet he still wants to write a few more songs, there is a problem though, he has no idea what to sing about. That's why he is flying back to Australia. To get inspiration and stories, seems easy. Tyler Oakley, with his 21st birthday approaching he is ready more than ever to leave this town. His mother travels a lot due to her job so he stays with his father, his homophobic father who beats him up the second that Jackie leaves the house. What happens when Troye and Tyler meet once again? Will they forget about the past and pretend it never happened? Troye and Connor are both highschool seniors, they live next to each other and their parents are good friends. This is why they are forced to go on a camping trip together, and of course they get to share a tent. Troye, however, can't come to a lot of activities because he has really bad migraine. Connor sees this as a perfect opportunity to skip hiking with his family so he stays back to take care of Troye. Both boys start to acknowledge that they really aren't as different as they thought and they start to enjoy each other's company, more than they would have initially wanted.
