Katniss Everdeen and her sister Primrose Everdeen have had a hard life ever since there parents died in a car crash. they lost there house in District 12 Instantly. Katniss was only 6 and Prim 2 so they had been homeless ever since. Katniss was now 18 and Prim 14. Katniss found a house in District 1 that she could afford. So her and Prim get on a plane not knowing about the disaster that was about to strike.
Peeta Mellark has had a hard life ever since he was 3 years old abused by his mother and treated like a slave. Peeta worked at the District 12 bakery. He is about to turn 19 and was looking for some way to get away from his current living situation. He finds a apartment in District 1 that is just cheap enough for him. So he jumps on a plane not knowing about the disaster about to strike.
