Beauty and The Beast ... but not quite

Every story is retold, forged again and again to look different yet remain the same. Beauty and the Beast was no exception to the rule. The tale soon became the trope we love to hate. A cliché most of us have enough of: a beauty falling for the personality of a man rather than his looks. I'd love to say this is going to be different, new, exciting, but it's not. This is just a "what if" kind of tale. What if Belle had anxiety and dreamt of having a husband? What if the servants remained human but most were gone? What if Lumiere and Cogsworth were women? What if Gaston was smart? I will attempt to answer all these questions -that nobody asked- in this retelling of a Disney classic.
