"Damn near foolish. . . 'The Fault in Our Stars' is a love story. . .I have no idea what the heck this is. This book is certainly not one of the most genuine and moving ones in recent American fiction, but it's also not an existential tragedy of tremendous intelligence and courage and sadness. I'm still not sure what it truly is."

"This is a book that breaks your heart -- not by wearing it down, but by...oh, no wait. Yeah. This book wears it down. B-But you should still read it anyway."

Meet Alyssa Bent, she's a nerd. But not your typical one. She likes to read, but her world doesn't totally revolve around books. She's not shy nor does she stutter when someone tries to corner her. She can stand up to anyone provided it doesn't involve attention. Attention is the only thing that scares her, and like always, there's a reason behind it. Maintaining a balance of grades and producing comebacks with sarcasm dripping from each word isn't the only talent she possesses. Enter Aaron Pelt, the most popular boy at Gradient High. Girls fawn over him. Well, who wouldn't? He's the star soccer player, after all. With the looks no less than a model, he has no problem maintaining his status on the social ladder. He maintains a cool aura around him all the time. They both go to Gradient High, a school that is divided into two social groups: the popular ones and the nerds. The popular ones are the wealthy snobs and the nerds are the ones who practically are their slaves. At Gradient High, these two groups can never get along! Like Ever! But who knew that the most popular guy and the nerd would actually be best friends? That's right! Alyssa and Aaron have been best friends since their diaper days. But at school, they are forced not to acknowledge each other's presence because if they did, Aaron's reputation might suffer and Alyssa may be subjected to something she hates the most: attention. While Aaron may not know, the reason why Alyssa hates attention might be even more than she lets him believe. A reason that might even force her to throw away her future dream. So will Aaron be able to break through the walls and push her out even when he has the pressure of popularity and the school status weighing him down? Get ready to expect the unexpected. //This was inspired by 'Mentally Not Right', I would recommend checking out their book!// CW Insanity Toxic relationships Child neglect Sexual references Child Abuse Wilbur had a normal upbringing, 2 caring parents, and even some siblings that he could play with. But nothing's truly perfect, and over the years his family broke apart along with his sanity. By the time he was 27, he had lost all hope in the world, nearly blowing up a motel and himself. Before he could, he broke down and was sent to a mental institution nicknamed Limbo. . . . Alex never knew his birth family, he was too young to remember them. When he was 3 he was placed into a foster system where 4 years later he was adopted by his foster fathers, Sam and Ponk. They already had a son, George, and Alex loved him, they got along really well (at least that's what Quackity thought) When he started High school he fell madly in love with an older boy, Johnathan, although he preferred Schlatt. The two dated for a few years, Alex growing more and more aware of who he was dating, he ended up leaving the man and 3 years later taking in his son after Schlatt died of a heart attack. . . . On Wilbur's 13th year in the institution, he was sure he would just be stuck in this Limbo, left to wait until he finally died, no one could help him and it seemed that no one wanted to help him. That same year, Alex Quackity joined the institution as a psychiatrist, more specifically, Wilbur's new psychiatrist. Started: 02 - 22 - 2023 Ended: 07 - 19 - 2023

COMPLETED ------------------ Main characters Milo and Thalia have been friends since Middle school. What will happen when feelings turn into more than just friendship? All of their friends are now on the path to trying to get the two of them together. Will it work out or does the road just lead towards heartbreak? The story is told by the points of view of the two main characters. Read on to see life in different aspects through the two friends. This is my first story, so feedback is gladly accepted, and obviously needed!! ~faruhway ------ "I love you." The words come out so unnaturally it's as if I have never learned them before. "Again" Janell says, as she looks deep into my eyes. "I... Love...You." This time I tried annunciating the first letter of each word with as much emphasis as I could muster up. "Again!" I'm getting sick of hearing that. "I LOVE YOU!!" Janell looks at me with utter disgust "Why the heck did you scream it? Nobody wants to be shouted at Milo. Now take it from the top." I take a deep breath, getting ready to say for possibly the millionth time. "Thalia, we have been inseparable since middle school. It may seem a little strange to you, but I have had these feelings for a while now. I... I know the timing might be a little off, but I want you to know that.... I love you." "How is it that we've been practicing for two hours and you are just getting worse?" I roll my eyes as a short response. --- Completed November 2018
