It wasn't fair. Sans had finally saved you, did it the right way without breaking any moral code. And yet, it wasn't enough. So, he decided to play by the rules the world had given him.

This was his last chance. No more resets, no more redos or loading or saves. It was all up to him.

...what was so wrong with consuming a couple human souls to save you?

*it's hard to break someone...but it's damn near impossible to put them back together*

Chainsmoker [ Gaster!Sans x Reader ]

15 parts Complete

Routine. The entirety of every living thing is dominated by it, human or monster. Everything HAS to be the same. It was in this that you were the exception. For you everything was new, every time line a detailed altered in order to satisfy your sadistic desire for a new ending, whether it be only a few details of dialogue altered or something else entirely. Monsters you once considered family you now butcher and slaughter without a second thought, after all, that's what the Reset is there for, right? And all at once it stops. Your small hold over the Underground is ripped away from you and you are thrown into a dying timeline, monsterkind's final attempt at self-preservation. You're alone, completely and utterly alone. Except one. And he has a bone to pick with you.
