Lorsque le prestigieux bâtiment jette l'encre dans le port de l'ennuyeuse petite île où elle a grandi, la jeune femme voit sa chance enfin tourner, et n'hésite pas seconde à s'en saisir, se faisant engager comme membre d'équipage, ce qui n'est pas du tout au gout du capitaine, Samuel Barone.
Mais la jeune femme est prête à tous les sacrifices pour prendre son destin en main, et réaliser ses rêves, quitte à défier l'héritier de la couronne en personne.
Rien ne pourra entraver sa course, et certainement un capitaine un peu grincheux.

Months after the disaster the water suddenly trails back to sea bringing along hundredths of corpses. Few left on the beaches with stomachs ripped out and chewed, some without a torso most without arms. What could have happened? One day strolling around with her nanny, Monica sensed something amiss. A dreadful feeling creeping up onto her from behind, eyes following her tiny form, yet there seems to be no one around. Mindful of the creeping danger she lunged too high up on a rock slipping when the heel of her feet couldn't latch on. Seconds away from crashing her skull onto rocks when she felt her body being levitated. Peeling her eyes open, the water somehow caught her in the air, water can't do that. At least not on its own, all she was able to see was the whip of a tail. Little did she know that tail would lead to something she wasn't prepared for, a friendship she never asked for, and a delicious man she didn't expect with craving she isn't ready for. Though she is a vegetarian, she just couldn't resist his meat.
