As the group of Slytherins sat down, Ginny noticed that Blaise was watching her, and when they made eye contact, he gave her a wink followed by a grin. Ginny felt her face heat up and she looked down at her desk, her brow furrowing.
"Everything alright?" Hermione asked quietly.
Ginny nodded silently and kept her eyes down, which only made Blaise chuckle from the other side of the classroom.
"What's got you in a good mood?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow at his friend.
"Just having some fun," Blaise answered, shrugging.
Draco rolled his eyes and looked over at the other side of the room where Blaise had been looking moments before. He noticed that the Weasley girl looked very embarrassed about something, and Hermione shot a look over to their area, catching his gaze.
He held it for a few moments before nodding at her slightly. Her eyes widened in surprise but she nodded in return before looking away, focusing on the front of the classroom. He thought he saw her cheeks turn slightly more pink, but before he could get a good look Professor Flitwick stepped up onto his podium and the class quieted down.

Prequel to Telling them the truth - Reunions --- She looked down at her plate. She wasn't hungry at all. She didn't want to eat, but she had to. She had to be here for Melody. Melody needed her. Or she needed someone. Someone that could take care of her. She didn't eat at all. After the feast, Draco waited outside the Great Hall. She walked towards him. You have the highest scores in every subject! I can't even beat you!" He answered desperately, but it was obvious that he was acting like it. "Come on. It's on the seventh floor. It is hidden behind a painting. It's near the Room of Requirement" she points out. "Wasn't that destroyed by Crabbe?" 'He can't know that it still exists. He'd find out about Melody...'She thought."Yeah, I meant, where it was." She say with doubt in her voice. He must have noticed because he looks at her with a raised eyebrow. "What, did I say something wrong? " Hermione asks him. "No, but you weren't sure. That's not like you at all." "No, i'm not going to tell them." She said. She could feel Draco stiffen next to her so she quickly continued. "But i'm not going to pretend we aren't together." Now Draco looked at her in question. "What do you mean, Mia?" "If they would have bothered to reply to any of my letters I would have told them like I planned. Now, I don't care wether they know or not." She said with a shrug. Hermione and her friends are sent back to Hogwarts by the ministry's orders to re-do their seventh year. Headmistress McGonagall has organised a new friendly tournament, to get the students into the school spirit. Nothing dangerous of course, they've just survived a war! Draco comes back very unmotivated, his friends Blaise and Theo try to cheer him up, and they try to make Draco have fun along the way of the competition. Hermione comes with her friends Ron, Harry and Ginny. Harry and Ron aren't too excited, they'll just get Hermione to do all the hard and boring school work that makes the tournament, right? Of course, these certain people don't know how to stay out of trouble, especially Draco Malfoy, who continues his rude ways towards Hermione Granger when they happen to meet for the first time during the middle of the competition, the first time since Malfoy Manor and since the end of The War. And an unlikely person in the back of the crowd is noticed by Hermione and Ginny before the competition, maybe an unlikely friendship? She leaned back into his chest, a small smile spreading across her face as she tilted her head to one side, allowing him to lean down and plant light kisses down her neck. Leaning in slowly, Draco kissed her on the lips and Hermionie pulled him in. -x- Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger are far from friends, they're barely even acquaintances and if the two of them had their way, they would not be spending their final year at Hogwarts as Head Boy and Head Girl together. But as fate would have it, or rather McGonagoll, they are the top picks to keep the students at Hogwarts in check and out of harms way. Though the two of them might have something to say about that. Regardless, both Draco and Hermione accept their positions and try to move on from their old rivalry, close old wounds, and try to form some sort of friendship. But sometimes the past can't stay buried and old grudges die hard and despite not having to defeat a Dark Lord, their seventh year at Hogwarts may prove to be the hardest one yet.
