As the group of Slytherins sat down, Ginny noticed that Blaise was watching her, and when they made eye contact, he gave her a wink followed by a grin. Ginny felt her face heat up and she looked down at her desk, her brow furrowing.
"Everything alright?" Hermione asked quietly.
Ginny nodded silently and kept her eyes down, which only made Blaise chuckle from the other side of the classroom.
"What's got you in a good mood?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow at his friend.
"Just having some fun," Blaise answered, shrugging.
Draco rolled his eyes and looked over at the other side of the room where Blaise had been looking moments before. He noticed that the Weasley girl looked very embarrassed about something, and Hermione shot a look over to their area, catching his gaze.
He held it for a few moments before nodding at her slightly. Her eyes widened in surprise but she nodded in return before looking away, focusing on the front of the classroom. He thought he saw her cheeks turn slightly more pink, but before he could get a good look Professor Flitwick stepped up onto his podium and the class quieted down.

She leaned back into his chest, a small smile spreading across her face as she tilted her head to one side, allowing him to lean down and plant light kisses down her neck. Blaise was an amusing man; she threw her head back in laughter when a voice of sultry steel cut through the moment. The voice drawled, "Mate, do you mind if I cut in?" Blaise smirked and stepped back, "Sure Drake, but up to the lady though." Her tongue darted out to moisture the dryness of her bottom lip. Draco eyed her with growing interest and offered his hand. Without a moment's hesitation, Hermione let out a small laugh and took it. "Fucking cock block," Hermione heard Blaise hiss as he moved past them, and Draco hid a laugh. She felt his fingertips dancing across her skin. She leaned into his touch. He boldly looked into her eyes, "Well...look at you, Granger." Hermione refused to back down, "I saw you looking Malfoy, are you intrigued or surprised by what you see?" Draco smirked, "Never surprised where you are concerned. Breathing out, Hermione took his hand and said, "Valet in lucem." Draco wrinkled his nose, looking up at her confused. "Was that an insult?" Hermione rolled her eyes. Hermione thought he might try to argue with her again, make her red in the face with anger but Draco paused when he opened his mouth. She waited in anticipation. His features seemed to soften a little as he stared at the ground. When his eyes came back up to meet her, she thought she might get lost in his gaze. "Light prevails." Leaning in slowly, Draco kissed her on the lips and Hermionie pulled him in. -x- Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger are far from friends, they're barely even acquaintances and if the two of them had their way, they would not be spending their final year at Hogwarts as Head Boy and Head Girl together. But as fate would have it, or rather McGonagoll, they are the top picks to keep the students at Hogwarts in check and out of harms way. Though the two of them might have something to say about that. Hermione and her friends are sent back to Hogwarts by the ministry's orders to re-do their seventh year. Headmistress McGonagall has organised a new friendly tournament, to get the students into the school spirit. Nothing dangerous of course, they've just survived a war! Draco comes back very unmotivated, his friends Blaise and Theo try to cheer him up, and they try to make Draco have fun along the way of the competition. Hermione comes with her friends Ron, Harry and Ginny. Harry and Ron aren't too excited, they'll just get Hermione to do all the hard and boring school work that makes the tournament, right? Of course, these certain people don't know how to stay out of trouble, especially Draco Malfoy, who continues his rude ways towards Hermione Granger when they happen to meet for the first time during the middle of the competition, the first time since Malfoy Manor and since the end of The War. And an unlikely person in the back of the crowd is noticed by Hermione and Ginny before the competition, maybe an unlikely friendship? Prequel to Telling them the truth - Reunions --- She looked down at her plate. She wasn't hungry at all. She didn't want to eat, but she had to. She had to be here for Melody. Melody needed her. Or she needed someone. Someone that could take care of her. She didn't eat at all. After the feast, Draco waited outside the Great Hall. She walked towards him. He noticed and began to speak before she could. "Hey, I'm sorry for all those years and so are my friends. We just didn't know any better then because we were raised that way." "Like I said, I already forgave you." She answers him. "Now, do you want to go to our common room and dorms?" "I would like that." He answers with a small smile. "You didn't look surprised when McGonagall said I was the head girl. How come? I wasn't on the train ride you couldn't have known." "McGonagall told me on the train. Because you weren't there and she thought it was necessary for me to know before the announcement in the Great Hall. And besides, who else could be head girl? You have the highest scores in every subject! I can't even beat you!" He answered desperately, but it was obvious that he was acting like it. "Come on. It's on the seventh floor. It is hidden behind a painting. It's near the Room of Requirement" she points out. "Wasn't that destroyed by Crabbe?" 'He can't know that it still exists. Draco cleared his throat, handed her the book, and added, voice faltering just enough to betray him: "I didn't mean to, I wasn't paying attention-sorry, mudblood."
