Tracou Vartanian, a provincial dezmek lord, travels to the capital of a foreign land to see the wares on offer at the Gathering of Merchants. Mirthal Yiva, the Prince of the Elves, travels to that same capital for a taste of freedom. Their paths collide and Tracou finds himself entangled in a distinctly Elvish mess. With Mirthal's retainer hot on his heels, Tracou helps him leave the city. A dezmek and an elf walking around the city did not go unnoticed, though, leading Tracou to be captured and dragged across the continent by Mirthal's retainer, a blue-haired elf, and Ina, an aloof human. Mirthal, on the other hand, wanders peacefully into another country, none the wiser about Tracou's predicament. Stripped of his magic by Mirthal's retainer, Tracou has no choice but to bide his time.

[𝐌𝐌] "I want you to be a king with me, Vale." 𓅂 The rift between the gods and mortals was just a realm away. And though the gods in Asgard created Midgard, the realm for mortals, they tend to neglect it, even in times of great danger. A threat had swarmed Midgard for the past century, one that involved the undead finding their way up from Helheim, the underworld that was ruled by the Goddess of Death; Hel. Draugr was what they called them. They were dangerous, rotting corpses that were capable of spreading a disease to mortals that would turn them into draugr in due time. As a way of helping the humans, the gods began to bestow gifts on humans that they deemed worthy enough of their blessing. In return, all the gods asked for was undying faith from the humans. Vale Ravna was a hunter amongst Blessed Ones. A weather boy was what he was. Though he had no blessing himself, he thought he could find the cure for the draugr infection. With the help of his fellow hunter friends and a flirtatious stranger who claimed to have no blessing, Vale set off on a journey farther than he had ever ventured before. In order to save his kingdom, Vale would have to face the gods. - Strong Language - Violence - Gore - Mature/Sexual Content 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 #𝟐 in dark fantasy. #𝟕 in norsemythology. #𝟏𝟗 in creatures. #𝟐𝟗 in godsandgoddesses.
