Tracou Vartanian, a provincial dezmek lord, travels to the capital of a foreign land to see the wares on offer at the Gathering of Merchants. Mirthal Yiva, the Prince of the Elves, travels to that same capital for a taste of freedom. Their paths collide and Tracou finds himself entangled in a distinctly Elvish mess. With Mirthal's retainer hot on his heels, Tracou helps him leave the city. A dezmek and an elf walking around the city did not go unnoticed, though, leading Tracou to be captured and dragged across the continent by Mirthal's retainer, a blue-haired elf, and Ina, an aloof human. Mirthal, on the other hand, wanders peacefully into another country, none the wiser about Tracou's predicament. Stripped of his magic by Mirthal's retainer, Tracou has no choice but to bide his time.
Usually updates on Fridays. The romance will be a slow burn--the main couple are apart for a lot of the first book.
Journey: when the trip is more important than the destination
In a world of half-truths, nothing and nobody are at first what they seem. However, to Altan, it doesn't matter who's fake when nobody will challenge you in the first place. Raised by wealthy parents and essentially having his life laid out for him like a red carpet since birth, nothing could have prepared him for what he would soon have to brave.
A scrap with an odd stranger in the forest will turn into a full blown adventure in a realm forgotten by the world. Forced to travel with a cryptic boy named Griffin, Altan will soon discover he has larger problems to face than finding his way home. As they say curiosity killed the cat, and now Altan is caught in the middle of an all out war between good and evil, and must first survive if he ever wants to return to some semblance of a normal life.
