Aria has played in the woods in her back of her house since childhood. But one day, she learns the woods will soon be cleared for new housing. She goes out for one last walk to reminisce when she stumbles upon a frightened creature that shouldn't exist. 

She realizes the discovery of this creature could spell disaster for her, the creature, and possibly the world. She decides to hide the creature in an effort to keep him safe but time is slowly running out.

Amy always wanted to have kids but the doctor told her she couldn't. Then she finds a baby abandoned outside the forbidden woods. She names her Sarah, and raised her to stay away from the woods she was found by. But eighteen is a prideful age and Sarah doesn't heed her mothers warnings. She and her best friend sneak out and climb the protective fencing and embark on a journey that will change the rest of their lives. But when they come back they discover 10 years had passed. Her friend had changed while she hadn't. Puzzled by this Sarah can't help wanting to know why. Eventually she goes back to the woods looking for answers but ends up getting more than she bargained for...
