I locked the door to my room, as I waited for my laptop to turn on. As soon as it did, my web page came on with every single detail on the “Game of Hearts”, that has been going on since 9th grade. Every single of the 15 victims' names popped up on the list. I now knew that Hunter dumped Diana Vega at 10:31 last night during their date. 14 hours have pass since he dumped her, so they should have the next victim decided by now. I reloaded the page, as the program processed the information from the “choosing” that took place this afternoon. I scrolled down the page and looked through the list to reach the last name. The name of the new victim.

 Damn….It was me

Marina hates the boys that call themselves "Triple Threat" for something they caused in the past. Since then, she has created a website to keep track of the events that happen in the annual event played by the three boys called "Game of Hearts". It is a game in which four girls are chosen and seduced, until they fall in love in order to break their hearts. When the boys consider her the perfect last target, they will finally understand why Marina is really "not quite the target".

The plan comes with more than just meeting Theo, but meeting his world, and where it collides with Briar's: the ruthless reality of the rich, the pitying reality of the poor, the state of his dying world, the time ticking on all their fates, the mind of a bad person, the heart of a good person, and the rocky roads everyone takes to get there.
