Slayde Melrose. She lived with her dad outside of Fremont, Nebraska. The last time her mom was around was when she was 4 years old, and at this point Slayde is 15. She hates the woman that birthed her cause to Slayde she's not even considered a mom anymore. Slayde and her daddy have stuck together all this time and to Slayde her dad is the only parent she'll ever need. But the one thing that her 'mom' said to Slayde before she left was "you'll always be my shining star".
