Kallum Asher Roran is a shattered boy. Hearing the sound of his own heart breaking doesn't even bother him anymore, because it happens all the time. It happens so much that he becomes immune to the feeling of being heartbroken, disappointed and betrayed.

Friends, family and all that was long cast out of his world. People that he attaches himself to will always end up leaving him behind. Forgotten and left to his own self.

"Time heals everything."

Kallum laughs because he knows just how much of a lie that sentence is. There is no healing, time doesn't do anything but make him grow more bitter at the world and people.

But it's not really like that though. Time might not heal everything, but time and patience can bring him the things that he's never imagined possible.
All Kallum really needs is a little heartbreak and a little love.

"The emotion that can break your heart is sometimes the very one that heals it..." - Nicholas Sparks.

*****************************
Hey, fragile piece of my glass heart
Please come back to me and give me my feelings,
I want to feel something, anything, everything.
Let me understand you and all the beauty that is supposedly there
And maybe I will learn to mend the cuts in my body.
So I just beg of you,
To let me get a glimpse of that light
that you promised me,
I crave for the taste of sweetness, not sourness
I am a messed up pile of shards,
It hurts at parts but I love the whole thing
And I can say honestly,
that I am not ashamed.
