Hazel Quinston is turning sixteen, but it's no sweet sixteen. She must get a Device put into her arm, which is surrounded in mystery and legends. Many stories have arose about the Device and it's purpose, but Hazel just wants to get it in and get on with her life. The only reason she can't do just that is because it makes you forget everything slowly, and have awful nightmares not even Hazel can ignore.
