In the early years of her detective career in the streets of Detroit, she found herself wandering alone at night after finishing a late shift. As she walked in the rain, a disturbance catches her eye.
One peculiar van drifts nearby and slides next to the river. Two agents unload an android, and they toss it down below, hoping the waters would ruin it entirely.
It was a failed project, thrown carelessly into the raging waters at midnight. She had to save him. But the minute she touched the water, she never knew what it would cost her.

He walks over to me and hesitantly places his hand on my chest, "What are you doing?" I ask. This is a Detroit Become Human fanfiction. Welp. I told myself that I was going to wait with this. But alas, I wasn't able to contain myself. I played Detroit Become Human a few days ago and loved it (despite the ended that I got that was stupid and that I'm still salty about. But I have decided to pretend that that doesn't exist. So there.) Connor really fascinated me in the game and quickly became my favorite character with Kara as a close second. And then I fell in love with Connor so here we are. I know that a lot of fans love him too so I decided to make this! Unfortunately, with all my other projects in the works I don't know how often I'll be able to update this, but don't worry! You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you.
