When you play a dating simulator, you expect the protagonist to be loving, nice, and even a little cliché at times...
Cue the entrance of Spade Voltaire, a closeted member of the LGBTQ+ community. They've recently graduated from high school, barely getting by as they had straight Cs. Now they don't know what to do, and they don't have a lot to live for.
One night, they fall asleep and is greeted by a disembodied voice. They don't have a say in the fact that they won't be waking up in their own home. They wake up during the afternoon, and they're on a train headed to Asagao Academy. The only goal in their mind is laying low, and figuring out how to get home, before they can't return home at all.
*I own nothing in this story except for Spade and the cover art, as this is a work of pure fiction that nobody will probably read. This story was written for the Open Novella Contest in 2019.

Driven to Distraction
Alex Thompson was due to marry her high school sweet heart Eric Ramirez. Period. That's it. It's about as exciting as her life ever got really. She had a job, a good job but an unconscious reality was that she was bored. She had her back blown out once every three months, if that, and an overbearing mother who made her life hell. *enter Mitch* Eve 'Mitch' Mitchell. An outgoing, strong minded, independent, raging homosexual, lover to all, charming British soul. They meet by accident after a tough day at the office for Alex. A mistaken identity was all it took for a tiny little kiss. A moment blown all out of proportion for the Christian-bred Miss Thompson and her life turns more miserable than she anticipated for every time she turned around...Mitch was there behind her. Something about Mitch was new and fresh and her soul was just what Alex needed (little did she know). Secrets from the past are brought to the surface. A sad ending to a young lady's life. A realisation that family isn't always blood related. Alcohol isn't a medicine. Violence isn't a key. Hearts were never meant to be broken. Two things to take away: you never know what is going on in someone's head and the most important thing...you never know what happens behind closed doors. A/N just a random story about two people who meet accidentally. Plays with gender norms and very inclusive of LGBTQ (being a member myself). Could be triggering I'm not sure as some identity questions are thrown around. It does include smoking, drinking, some homophobia, profanities, violence and smut. Chishiya seems to have found a interest in you, you've also found an interest in him. You both can't read a single thing about each other even though you can read other people like a book. Will your interests be the same in the end or will you die trying to figure out a confusingly hard to read man. None of the characters belong to me all the characters are belong to the creators of Alice in borderland, y/n also does not belong to me but he is based off of me. This story was made because it's so rare to find male readers x characters and I could only find one chishiya x male reader. But I hope you like my story.
