The world is lost! The governments of the world waged war upon each other leaving the world to settle in the dust of its destruction. Moments before a worldwide nuclear strike wipes out all life on the planet's surface a single transport ship fitted with an engine capable of light speed breaks through the atmosphere with a crew of ten thousand passengers, most of whom are children. They journey not to Mars nor to some far off world but instead back to Earth, one million years after its destruction in the hopes that they may succeed where their ancestors failed.
