"Have I seen you before?"  He asked and I almost fainted right there.  Did he just read my mind?

I swallowed to try and relieve myself of the dryness in my throat but it wouldn't go down.  "I don't believe so, I'm not from here." I said and he nodded, realization breaking across his face as he helped me to my feet.

"What's your name?"  He asked and I licked my lips for fear that they would just crack off from dehydration.  "Cosette, Cosette de Genève."  I said and his eyes widened, "That's so..." He struggled with the right words and I giggled, "Weird?"  I said and he shook his head.  "Lovely." 

"Thank you."  I said as I realized he was still holding my hands.  I dropped them to my side but immediately felt the absence.

"What's yours?"  I asked and he smirked, and I was fascinated by his smile.  It seemed as though he had vampire fangs.  How cute.

"Marius Listhrop."  He said and held his hand out for me to shake.  I shook it and smiled.
