Yolanda Dayton adopted Julia, Melanie, Matthew, and Ariel for two reasons: they were unwanted, and they were special.

Some humans were born from a mutation group called the HuMuS group, or the Human Mutation and Science group. They experiment on stolen babies and give them a certain group of powers. They won't start getting them until they are around eight to ten years old.

All four of Yolanda Dayton's children were results of HuMuS' experiments and mutations. She plans to drill her children to take down a new version of HuMuS.

When the organization hears of Yolanda's plans, they prepare two powerful children and get them ready to defeat the powerful Dayton family, once and for all.
