The transition from the 19th to the 20th century fell hard on the shoulders of the French Monarchy. King Albert the III got cold heartedly murdered during a visit in Paris 1899. Handing the barely twenty two year old Ann Victoria acces to the throne which would eventually be the last reigning Royal, France would ever experience.
