He says in a calm tone laced with an undercurrent of another emotion. Adira couldn't tell what it was but it almost broke his voice with power.
"So I must take revenge then." She sounded out from his couch, the lighting was poor, the room was dark, it matched perfectly with him. Not one thing was bright, not in the clothes he wore, not in the things he owned. Everything was dark. A walking wall of darkness that haunted her life.
