"I knew I’d have to eliminate someone in my life from the moment my yellow lab trapped my boyfriend in the shower. No, seriously. He told me straight-up to choose between him and the 'ill-behaved' dog, and I can’t say I regret my decision. At least my dog doesn’t brag about how many people he’s slept with." Wren Mantini would probably be the last person to trust with your kids. She’s inexperienced, fond of using expletives, and may or may not banish them outdoors to find their own source of entertainment. But, when you stick a leash in her hand and give her a canine companion, there’s no one better to get the job done. Wren has been running her own dog walking business since she was fourteen, and with three years under her belt, she knows what she’s doing. Being a dog walker has taught her important skills, like how to effectively prevent an energetic dog from tipping over a man practicing an intense yoga position, as well as different life lessons, such as the fact that even dogs understand the term “no” better than some boys. But, what happens when Wren meets her match with a new dog? And its owner? He’s quite headstrong, often unpredictable, and willing to do everything he can to make Wren’s job as difficult as possible. Until, that is, an unlikely friendship sparks between the two of them. ~Cover made by me~

*Disclaimer: really rough atm / unedited* New to town, sunny appearance and beaming personality. Miss Wrenley Dawson lands a job at a middle school as the receptionist. Trying to piece together her life that had fallen apart this past year, she finds herself taking over as an assistant coach for the girl's soccer team. She comes to befriend a young girl, Amelia 'Millie' Matthews, who sometimes stays a while after practices due to her father's job. Upon meeting Chase Matthews, Wren constantly has to remind herself that Chase was not a man she could allow herself to get close to even befriending him was out of the picture. But his daughter was someone she had come to adore which meant being involved with him more often than she liked. To Wren, Chase was just another controlling thorn in her side. He was demanding, annoying, and chronically tardy. And yet when his hands were on her, she found it hard to push him away. Even when he disappears the morning after. Wren wanted to believe that the only reason she kept going back to him was because of his handsome face, but truly...it was the way he took care of people, especially his daughter. -- Chase had a lot of problems to solve at the moment. One was finding his brother, hopefully alive, but every day that passed was another day where he grew less hopeful. The second problem was making sure his team remained busy and safe, this included their families as well. Having grown a soft spot for Ashlynn, a team member's girlfriend, he wanted to make sure she was no longer being hunted down. And finally, it was the never-ending encounters with Wrenley Dawson which usually began with arguing and ended with them in bed. He couldn't quite figure out how to maintain everything, but he wasn't willing to let any of these things get in the way of taking care of his daughter. She was the last thing he had of his late wife and he owed it to her. He'd owe her for the rest of his life. -- -- Work in progress~
