"Can I kiss you?" He breathes, his warm lips brushing my cheek. I don't move, merely sitting on my work desk as he sets his hands on the cool surface of my desk, fingers brushing my thighs, his arms effectively caging me. My breath picks up, but I don't pull away as he presses his body against mine, and I stare at him with wide eyes as his gaze flickers to my lips. I look into his warm, honey colored eyes, uncertain of what will happen next, when he leans in for the kill. My eyes flutter shut, and I soon feel his breath tickling my lips, his hand sliding up the back of my neck and into my hair. In fact, I feel these things as soon as I hear something too. The sound of someone opening the outside door of the nurse's office. Within half a second, I have shoved him away, hopped of the desk, and managed to make myself look busy, just as Kylie comes strolling in, asking for her three o'clock meds. That was a close one, I think as I glance over at the boy standing a few feet from me. He looked at me, seeming to sense me watching, and met my stare with one of his own. One that said that this wasn't over. Not by a long shot. **** Kat Morris just broke up with her boyfriend, finished her two-year college degree, and started a new job at a high school summer camp. She plans on laying low until she is ready to face the world again at the end of the summer. Yeah, right. Like that's gonna happen. All Rights Reserved
