Being the daughter of the CEO of the most popular makeup brand and a famous designer, Angel Melendez always walked around like there was a crown on her head. Having the best grades of her class in her highly preppy high school doesn't help already inflated ego either. She's at the top and she's not afraid to show it.
On the other hand, Kai Kira, born to the richest couple in the Manhattan's Upper East Side, had flung away his metaphorical crown ages ago. Nicknamed the Grim Reaper by his rather distasteful peers, Kai walks around like a typical emo kid attending public high school in hopes to be left alone.
But a bad grade and the school's stupid requirement for volunteer hours fucks up both of their lives.
