That is until Earl Ingstad, (otherwise known as Lagertha Lothbrok) the ex wife of Ragnar Lothbrok, freed her and took her back to Hedeby to become a shieldmaiden. Not long after, she would meet and befriend the sons of Ragnar and fight beside all of them to forge her own path as a Viking. 

Would she eventually fall in love with one of the legendary brothers? Would she make her name as a shieldmaiden? Would she ever go home to England?

She has always had a strong bond with her father, since she never knew her mother and grew up learning how to fight from Björn and her grandmother, Lagertha.
