He was born in the celestial life, a world of higher beings that are far more powerful than mankind is even close to, but mankind has acknowledged them, you've probably heard of Greek Mythology, well it's real. In this celestial life, newly born babies are executed (in a harmful way) if the parents refuse to take care of them, as a way of torture for parents. A baby boy is born in the city of Astropolis and his parents were very busy. The jobs in this world were paid in power, and this baby's parents worked in the fourth-highest paying jobs in Astropolis, which meant that they had no time for the baby and it also meant he'd be executed.
The night before his execution, he was stolen by someone, someone who didn't like babies being executed. This person got into a star and traveled out far away until they finally reached Earth. The baby was put into an orphanage in a small town in Greece and was left behind to live a happy life on Earth.
Eventually, Nyx, the goddess of Night had finally found out about this baby and decided she wanted it. She wanted his power.

In the town of Northbury, superheroes and super villains are commonplace.
Ophelia Colley: Hydrokinetic college sophomore struggling to get a 4.0 at the prestigious University of Toronto and keep the city of Northbury crime free. Unofficial leader of the crime fighting duo Shade and Marina. Does not "believe" in men and is a strong, independent woman.
Faust Haas: Shadow-bending, shapeshifting man, probable alien (A.K.A. Shade) and full-time Sports Clerk at Canadian Tire. Hasn't been on a date. Prone to feeling like he's the only gay guy in all of Northbury. Needs to move out of his parents' house. In a long term polygamous relationship with his couch and Xbox.
Cryocastor and Pyropollux: Thoroughly evil twins with cryokinetic and pyrokinetic abilities. Powerful rivals of Marina and Shade.
Enter Astroman: Completely new-fangled to this whole superhero business and is eager to get in there and kick some ass! For justice, of course. And maybe even Marina's affection! The intrusion of this overzealous stranger who wields the powers of cosmic manipulation, clad in a galaxy-print costume is enough to disturb Northbury and set into action a series of events that puts Earth itself at risk.
