You never know how much you love something until it's gone for good. For Joseph, it was food. Oh, how he craved a sweet peach or apple fresh from the tree and how he wished he could drink cool water or a fizzy lemon-lime soda. He would savor every flavor if he only had some. The bitter, the bland, the spicy he wouldn't care what you give him as long as it was edible. But the experiment made that impossible.
