It's been three years since the sudden death of her father, and eighteen-year-old Aila DeHalcyon is still trying to get used to being queen of Avalon. Though she understands her duty to her kingdom, her personal interests lie elsewhere: whether it be in the Elvish Woods or by the sea's shore. But when Aila believes she's finally got the gist of it all, they receive word of the fall of a neighboring kingdom to an Orc army. It's no doubt that Avalon will be one of the next kingdoms to fall, but Aila will do everything in her power to protect Avalon and its people... Even if it means traveling on a dangerous journey to find powerful-beings that may not even exist.

Faylen Adwynn comes from a troubled past which landed her in Rivendell 10 years ago. She found a new family amongst the elves and trained, always staying within the borders and living a simple life. Then one night she gets news about something that will forever change her. Later a shadow begins to loom over Middle Earth and Faylen finds herself joining the Fellowship of the Ring with her newfound skills. As the adventure goes on, dangers and threats are around every corner as the group tries to get the one ring to Mordor. On this quest she also finds herself meeting a new friend, Legolas Greenleaf; never having a true friend before unless they were family. But will Faylen learn to trust and love despite her past still haunting her on this quest? Will her friendship turn into something more? And will she be able to do what her destiny wants her to go through without hurting others? *Disclaimer: I do not own Lord of the Rings or any of its characters. I did make several changes to the original story but did not mean any disrespect in doing so
