Then out of the need to find a material to advance their technology, they accidentally found a substance, that they called "White snow" that were thousands of years ahead of anything of its time, as the nation begun to strive and grow quicker than any nation. Years later the nation has changed a lot. It's ruled by an iron fist, with a girl who's been altered to be used as a military demonstration. Will this girl be able to survive? What's worse, he is forced to call on old skills he learned as a soldier to defend himself when something, what appears to be an actual, real zombie, attacks him. The valleys are no longer safe and the only people he can find are a trio that claim they've come from the northern polar regions of Dis. They must work together to fight for survival and somehow find a way off of this hellish planet...

In order to embark on a mission to discover alien life on the icy moon of Jupiter Maria must leave her life on Earth behind, including her father and her seven-year-old son Diego. She thought the hardest part of the mission would be saying goodbye, but little does she know what awaits her and her crew on Europa, an environment that has never been explored from the surface until this mission. Perhaps alien life was never meant to be explored by humans... Will she fulfill her promise to her father and son to make it home alive, or will she fail to make good on that promise like her mother did when she was a little girl? Note: This story was written during a challenge to write an entire book in one week! Staff Sergeant Stillwater, formerly of Special Weapons, now haunts the edge of the Special Projects, working on dismantling the Special Weapons program. Among such projects is the long standing FEMA mandate. Continuity of the United States government even after a nuclear war. That has led him to the Rocky Mountains, to an old abandoned and forgotten underground facility. Built by FEMA in the 1950's, what scattered data exists suggests its a small facility, one or two levels. A quick job so that Stillwater can return to the arms of his young wife. Except that an old family saying is about to come true. Old dark places Attract old dark things.

With an unknown amount of casualties out of the two 13-man squads, limited supplies, and a host of other problems, Nancy Nagle finds herself one of the few unwounded soldiers forced by duty and loyalty to head into the blast zone to search for wounded and survivors. As the body count and the number of wounded stack up it quickly becomes apparent that Atlas had seen its chance, and taken it.
