Theresa White lives the high life. She lives in a bright shiny world full of beauty pageants, movie roles and photo-shoots. She has a hugely famous mother and is pretty well known herself for a seventeen year old girl. She is beautiful (with long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes), she’s rich, has over a million followers on twitter and Instagram and has everything she could ever wish for…and she’s miserable.
Tessa Black is the new girl around. A nobody. No one quite knows her story, where she comes from, or particularly cares about either. But that’s the way she likes it. She’s pretty normal with brown hair and eyes. She’s been in town for a week, has two friends and has somehow managed to offend the entire student body of Jefferson High with her mere presence. Rumour has it that she lives in a trailer park outside of town, she’s really poor and she’s only in school on a full scholarship. She couldn't be happier with her life.
So how is it that these two girls, living completely opposite lives, are the same person?
