For 100 years, the spirit of a great hero has lain in wait, biding their time to return to assist the next valliant warrior who should find his resting place. When teenage Ben Price takes a silver ring from a haunted grave, he finds himself equipped with an arsenal of Necromancy spells, as well as a reluctant mentor, in the form of the undead spirit of a wisecracking gunslinger named Arthur. Tension rises at first, but when an urban legend comes to life and threatens their home with total destruction, Ben and Arthur must put their differences aside to get the world out of a grave situation. In a world where true love existed and a soulmate wasn't a myth but an actual person you were destined to be with Izzy always found it pathetic when people pushed back on the idea of a soulmate not being true. He was jealous of those with markings and even more so of those who held their lives in their arms experiences that euphoria of a true love. Here he was, stuck in an LA apartment, where he argued with the delusional neighbors. The man, Jakob was alright. He was in love with the girl who didn't believe in soulmates. Who challenged Izzy every chance she could. The girl he loathed with her eye rolls and heavy sighs when he talked about the love of a soulmate. She didn't believe the universe could hold that power. It infuiriated him; not only could the universe weild its power but the laws of attraction made it impossible to ignore your soulmate. Once you shared your first kiss with them it was all over, no other set of lips would presss against yours. True love and soulmates, tattoos that lasted forever, illegal to be removed and deny someone a chance at love. This wasn't a fairytale but the real world they loved in. She wished she would start living in it soon. Or maybe she was right, maybe she was too bitter and she didn't have a soulmate. Izzy knew he wouldn't ever want to be stuck with her. (Enemy to lovers)
