This story is a sequel to 'Echoes of violence'. Varun Shukla, an ex CBI officer lives his life as a librarian in Amravati, Maharashtra. Apart from being a librarian he is also a vigilante who sometimes take laws into his hands whenever he will needed. He has befriended ACP Jai Raghuvanshi who is aware of his actions but never stops him from doing that because he also feels the act of vigilantism is necessary to bring the criminals to justice. After the completion of his tenure, he is posted to Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He shifts to Dehradun with his loving wife, Anshika where he meets a morally upright cop, Inspector Isha Bhagat who has the same qualities like him. The elections are approaching in Uttrakhand and that's why there is some political turmoil going on between the parties. Rekha Nautiyal, wife of an MLA Sudesh Nautiyal hires a private investigator, Mrunal, to keep an eye on her husband as she suspects he is having an extra marital affair. Days later Rekha goes missing. ACP Jai investigates the matter and learns about Mrunal who also goes missing the very next day. Isha discovers Jai's dead body. When Varun learns about his death, he comes to Dehradun and uncovers a corruption involving ministers and corrupt cops. An intelligence operative, Naina knows about Sudesh's connection with Zaid Qureshi, an arms dealer. Qureshi was responsible for supplying arms and logistics to the terrorists who recently carried out an attack on the Kashmir soil killing innocent tourists. Upon arriving the conclusion, Varun learns that Qureshi is controlling the government by bribing everyone within the system.
