"The gavel sounded throughout the room, silencing it within seconds. "Taelor Kooke has been declared not guilty by reason of insanity. He will be admitted into a mental hospital where he will be treated. Case closed." The gavel rang out again.

   'Insanity? Do they think I'm crazy? No! I'm not crazy!' I began to panic, the familiar feeling in the pit of my stomach starting to boil. I felt tears build up in my eyes, but I refused the cry. I couldn't. It wont fix anything. I forced the lump in my throat back down, attempting to calm down.

You were in denial of the fact that you needed help, always fighting your battles all alone. However, after some time passes, you find yourself getting comfortable in the hospital, regardless of the circumstances. Little did you know just how truly life changing it would turn out to be. reader discretion is advised. this story will be dealing with some heavy topics. there will be talks of self harm, mental illness/health, death, violence, grief, drugs, talks of suicidal ideation/attempts, offensive language. this book contains characters from the anime/ manga attack on titan. none of the events which happen in this story will be canon. big fucking shout out to @yagamisdiary for granting us permission to do this story since thanks to her lovely story eldia we got inspired!

Ahhhhh!!!, blood, brokenness and skin bruised and all red, I love it, I wanted to see more so I took my hand off her mouth which she nervously looked at me and asked why I am doing it. I said, I love you and you can go to the clinic now. Thank you!. She was my best friend I think since 3rd grade and I really liked her a lot, but when she ran to go for help she looked at me and said it again. You are really crazy, Laura! Why thank you, Jen!. Maybe I am and I love it!....That was the start of my journey as a kid who was found to be crazy and called many names like psycho, strange, weird, addict, drunk, skeezo...prenik...whatever and many more.

Beep beep beep... "Where am I? Am I really dead? is my life really over! What happened to me?" I began sobbing uncontrollably, why did this have to happen to me? Beep beep beep "Jade..." a faint cracked voice spoke out. "I'm so sorry... I couldn't protect you." Austin... that's Austin speaking to me. Save me Austin [ I wrote this FOREVER ago, I just thought I should say it's really..... challenging. There is a lot of self esteem issues and issues regarding mental health. I was in a very dark place when I was writing this- I just thought I should warn potential readers. I've also changed my writing tremendously! I do not write like this anymore. I think it's safe to say I rushed through the storyline and didn't develop my characters as wisely as I wish I did. And to that I apologize. The only reason I have not deleted this story is because this is just another demonstration of my past and a ledge from which I've jumped from to a higher level of thinking. As Dawson hides his identity, it will become harder and harder to seal away the truth when faces from the past start revealing themselves, including his gorgeous ex best friend Alec. Only Dawson isn't the only one with secrets and when a lie reaches Dawson's ears, it will take all he has in him to protect the one thing he has left. Himself. Dealing with depression is hard, and Dawson will have to learn it's not something that can be handled alone. This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story. Disclosure: I wrote this as a 13-year-old and the writing is definitely not up to my current standards, but I feel as though changing what I have already written would take away from the emotion I put into this story at 13 years old. People always say, 'There's no reason to be depressed.' or 'what do you have to be depressed about.' alot of the times its, 'you seem fine to me.' yes, I do seem fine, but I'm breaking underneath the surface. They don't see behind the mask we all hold up. 'Everyone gets these feelings.' yes they do, but some are worse than others, yet its pain nonetheless. They don't understand what goes through our minds when we do things they think is crazy, like cutting. They don't understand that when we look in a mirror, we hate what we see. Or when you cry yourself to sleep at night for reasons that are still unknown to you. Those feelings of sadness, loneliness, desperation, anxiety. Those fears of being abandoned by the ones you love the most, or being a burden because you're sharing your feelings. They don't understand..... But I do. This book is for all those people that feel even one of these. You are not alone. *TRIGGER WARNINGS*
