She is petrified and prepared to die but little does she know that from the very first moment Captain Thomas Tyler lays eyes on her he finally believed in love at first sight. Placing her under his protection, his anger directed towards those who used his ship as a way to dispose of their crimes. He promises to return her to her family and hopes in time that the memories that haunt her soul will fade. One thing he wasn't prepared for, protecting her from himself.
