Mission Report: Day 1

What have I gotten myself into?

~~~~
It's been about three months since Loki's attack on New York and Steve gets called in for a new assignment. The assignment? Watch over and get information from a seven-year-old mutant from Korea who had been captured and experimented on by Hydra. Why? This child is possibly one of the most powerful and dangerous mutants out there, but no one in the entire Shield facility can get her to talk.
Now Steve has to take care of a child who won't talk with the help of the rest of the Avengers while trying to save the world. How will this play out for this Super Soldier? Will she be a nightmare or an angel? And how will the rest of the Avengers react? Will they all love her or hate her? Will they ever get her to open up to them?
THIS STORY HAS MOVED TO TUMBLR! Details given in the latest update. A story in which America's favorite Captain gives a new life and family to a five-year-old girl who has suffered well beyond her years... During an intense Hydra-disassembly mission, the Avengers are able to successfully detain countless Hydra personnel, as well as several of the evil agency's test subjects. But in the midst of the harrowing scene, America's favorite Captain is asked to investigate the final holding cell in the experimentation lab. There, he finds a small child huddled fearfully in a corner with a blindfold over her eyes, a complete contrast to the other prisoners who were all super-built, raging with anger, and ready to fight. Over his earpiece, the other Avengers are able to offer Captain scrambled bits of information they've all gathered about this mysterious creature, referred to as simply "Girl." But when she's brought back to the Avenger's Headquarter's to be further investigated, he finds out that there's much more to this little girl's story than anyone had initially imagined. With the seemingly complete elimination of Hydra, the heroic group are offered more freedom and time to make real lives for themselves. But Steve Rogers has formed a soft spot for a certain fellow ex-test subject. Along with the help of his friends, will he be able to help Girl heal and find hope for her future? And what will happen when Girl's dark past attempts to catch back up with her? [Trigger warning: physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of a child.] [Spoiler alert: This fan-fiction will include many unavoidable spoilers to most of/if not all the films in the Avengers series.
