"I am your Alpha!" His voice unleashed itself throughout the thick walls of the pack house, causing everyone to turn a pointed ear at the man who had just walked in unannounced.
How he had gotten through the guards, no one would know, but he was here now claiming what was his.
The Blackwood Alpha turned and she looked at the gruesome man in the eye, "I am their Alpha, you bafoon. Tell me how you got into this house or I will make you myself," Alpha Kyreen said with a fierce calmness she had taught herself years ago.
He slowly turned around, his bare back covered with old dirt and dried blood. In the middle was a deep scar of the Crest of the Blackwood Pack, the same Crest that was stamped on their gates, on their weaponry, and on the necklace around Kyreen's exposed neck.

I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself.
