This is one of my more recent poems. I actually got a chance to go to Ecuador during spring break. It was an amazing experience. I was scared to death to go on the trip, because it was the first time I had traveled out of the country by myself. I was the odd one on my team. I was the only 10th grader and not sure how much use I would be. I like the line in the poem about being glad I made the choice to go, because it’s true. I really was happy to be going after meeting and getting to know several of my teammates. It was a challenge for me to go,but it was such a wonderful experience.

When he looks at me, something ignites. It's like there gasoline in my veins, and he is a spark that just sets me on fire. It's painful thought. He lights me up, and I feel so alive, but I'm still burning. I have burns on my skin and in my lungs and all around me, because I never put the fire out. A Lovely Life
Journey with me back in time as I rewrite the first Journal I kept from when I was in high school, and see that maybe even with how horrible life is most of the times, there are little things spread throughout that make life worth living. My high school experience was full of drama, tears, laughter, and most of all constant search of love, and approval of the people around me. I can't always get what I want in this world. Life is a beautiful mess. It's not perfect, and filled with a lot of disappointments, and heartbreak. There are moments when it all feels too much, but there's not much we can do other than go with the flow of things.Complete
