Basil Forester. An out-going guy, who loves to have fun. If there were only something fun to do in the small Village he hadn't done. With the rest of summer to enjoy before being sent to college, Bas is more bored than ever. He has few mates, because he apparently talks too much. As for girls, he talks too much. It's true, he talks a lot. He talks when he gets nervous.
So, when he meets Holly, a mystery girl, light on her feet and ready for some mischief and fun, dropping into town for a few weeks, he decides to befriend her. Maybe he won't be so bored this summer. Plus, what was there to be nervous about? The more he learns about Holly, acting as her tour guide through town, the curiouser he gets. Who is Holly, why is she alone? Has she run away from home, or worse, the police?

Cole the Not So Stereotypical Jock Being the most popular guy that girls all want to be with and all guys want to be should make you feel on top of the world, right? Not always, especially if you have to keep the fact that you can barely afford food a secret at all costs. And then the new girl shows up with her amazing dance moves and intoxicatingly confusing logic, and he can't seem to get her out of his head. She isn't the favorite girl of the school, not to mention his friends, and she doesn't show any interest towards him, but he has to try. The girl with the mysterious ways has got him wrapped around her scarred little finger. Not Andy Being the girl with no friends is never easy- especially when you have major trust issues and problems that can only be discussed with a shrink. That's why instead of slowly letting people into her life, she chose to shut them out completely. It seems easier that way, which is until she moves to Bangor, Maine and catches the eye of Cole, the football quarterback and heart throb of the school. He makes her feel things that she didn't think we're capable, and he shows how to make a bad situation into something semi-tolerable. It gets her thinking that maybe cliche boys with secrets aren't such a bad thing. During their 17th year, Andy and Cole must face the problems of high school, social hierarchy, their pasts, relationships, trust, friendships, and even love. Both of them knowing that stories like this never happen to kids like them, but they're willing to try anyway.

*"Move, weirdo." She glanced at him and sighed. "Feel free to move if you want to, there's so much room." He raised his eyebrows in surprise. Firstly because she dared stand up to him, nobody did that. Everyone, except his friends and family, feared and respected him. Secondly because this was the school weirdo, who rarely interacted or talked to anyone. "You sure I'm the person you wanna mess with?" She shocked him again by responding. "I got bigger problems that pissing off the school's biggest bully." She spoke calmly. Like, it showed that she was not scared of him. She actually looked... bored. "Yeah, like what?" he asked, willing to know what could possibly be worse than pissing him off, and insulting him on top of that. She looked at him, like really looked into his eyes, and he was taken aback by the pain reflected in her eyes. "Piss off." she said and walked away. He was internally grateful that there was no one else in the hallway, because he had no intentions of following that girl.* Callie Wild was the school weirdo. The girl who kept to herself, had no friends, spoke to no one and stayed out of trouble. People knew she liked to wear bottlenecks and long sleeves, nobody ever wondered why. Nobody ever thought she could be hiding something. But she was carrying so many secrets, hiding them from even her own family. Jace Sherman was the typical high school badboy; handsome, rude, player, well built. All that. He's always looking for trouble with his friends, and they always find it. This time, he isn't looking for trouble, he's looking for answers. Answers to things that didn't concern him. Like why that weird shy girl was the way she was. And what was she hiding???
