Hailey Wez, a teenage girl who was thrown into group homes and foster care when she was 9 years old. It's not that her parents didn't want to care about her, it's that they couldn't ...At least that's what Hailey tells herself at night. She's now 15 years old and is transferring to a new home once again because her last family found another source of income that didn't eat their food. Hailey often finds herself laughing, not because anything is funny but because of how cruel people can be. "I'm just a paycheck to these people!" Hailey screams at her Social worker Sherry. Sad days when the children feel as if they don't belong, and the world would be better off without them. For whatever reason teenage Hailey still has hope, and maybe this hope will be quenched when she finds herself in New Mexico. Will it be The Land of Enchantment, or The Land of Entrapment?

"Are you okay?" I hate that question. It makes no logical sense to ask that, when the person you are asking is obviously going through hell. ____________________________________ Losing her mom was one of the biggest obstacles in her life.
