In a world of feathers and scales, wings and horns, and dragon blood running through the veins of mankind, there are a few who find themselves standing out. What is considered normal are the abnormalities of dragon blood in the veins of most, however, some haven't a single drop in them.

Donny Ferinid, a 17 year old teen, thinks he hasn't a single drop within him. One day he and the rest of Hartwater Crest spot a creature unlike any they've ever seen before. From that day on, things will change, for better or for worse.

Some split off at this point, becoming dumber and cruder, and lost the title of Elder. As the humans became smarter and were able to wield the magic of this world, the Darkest of all, the darkness without a name, came unto this world, and the Elders met their match. In the first time in millennia the Elder Dragons were afraid. They were driven to near extinction, until they retreated from this earth, and flew away, lost, leaving their cousins, the dragons, behind. But one remains. She doesn't know the secrets of her race, the secrets of the world she finds herself in.
