Uncovered

He slammed me against the wall, his face angry.
"Don't think for a second that you can try to get inside my head." He growled, breathing heavily. A moment of silence passed between us where I could feel the tension in the air. I looked down, afraid of what was going to happen.
"It's too dark for you," he whispered, letting me go.
With that, he swung the door open without looking back and left.

For the longest time, I felt like I was broken. Like I was living my life like a robot, knowing the actions but feeling nothing. Then, one day, I felt whole again. I felt like I knew my destiny and why I was where I was. It's because I had a secret life. I had a life, a family. I had a guy who loved me. There was just one problem.
