SOOO we obviously didn't make the deadline lol. This story is unfinished and will remain that way. This is the best example of a rushed concept with no actual plot lol. "Actually I do. I'm working", I said with no emotion at all. They didn't deserve it. They don't get to know how I have felt through the years without them, I'm happy here. She now lives alone, in a dangerous and dirty neighbourhood, but she doesn't care, as long as she is far away from those she is suppose to call family. The circumstances were deemed accidental and it was swept under the rug. Truth is, someone covered up the whole situation and I was sent somewhere I knew no one would find me. I was swept under the rug too. Critter Ridge Orphanage is an old building placed in the pines somewhere in the state of New Jersey, run by a kindly woman and housing a family of others like me. Boys and girls all different in their own aspects. They didn't like me and I didn't like them, which was fine. Miss Huld, the owner, seemed to like me enough and that was all I needed. Things changed, though. They found a dead body on our property and everyone scrambled to lock the doors and bar the windows. The normal kids at school all started to edge away from us, from me in particular. They called us witches and devil worshippers. They were scared they might be next. I couldn't keep my nose out of where it didn't belong and then everyone was involved in the mystery. There's ghosts around every corner in this house, and if we don't figure out what's wrong here, we might just become the next ones.Concluída

They've looked for years always coming up empty handed, until they get an anonymous call saying that the said trusted member was killed, but they heard nothing about their daughter. Thinking she died with him or long before, they call off their search. Only to get a call 7 years later saying that their long lost daughter was in fact very much alive. In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!
