My NaNo project from 2017, minor edits have been made. Major edits will be needed in the future. For Nicole Muirenn being a world-famous author comes with all the perks. A beautiful LA home, a very large fan base, and the ability to do what she loves. With all of this success, it has certainly taken its toll on Nicole, who now wants a slower pace of life. As she sets off from LA, and moves across the ocean to Ireland, Nicole soon realizes that her life is about to become much more complicated after saving the Merprince of the Atlantic tribe named Toren. While not to her liking, Toren informs Nicole that she is his mate and as much as Nicole would love to have someone love her for herself, falling in love with a merman wasn't something she had on her list. Eventually, the Land Council, an elite group of individuals who are part human part merfolk, come to meet the newly mated couple and to welcome them to their group. Little to their knowledge, Shona, the human mate to the Pacific Tribes prince, comes to warn Nicole of the Land Councils plot to take over both the human and merfolk world, and she needs her help to stop them. Looks like Nicole will have to wait a bit longer to enjoy her slower pace of life, that is if she accepts being Toren's mate and Shona's request to destroy the Land Councils plot.

Mermen are real? The last thing marine biologist Anna Lisle expected to find when she moved to Myrtle Beach was a merman breaking into her seaside home. When he asks for her help to blend in and save himself from his ultimate demise, she immediately rejects, thinking he was absolutely insane. However, she couldn't keep her curiosity at bay. There was something about him, something that made her soul sing and her body ache in a way she had never experienced before - and it was exhilarating. There was only one problem, if her coworkers find out she's been hiding a merman, she could lose not only her job, but Delmare himself. Is she willing to risk everything to save the one who has stolen her heart? Or will she leave him behind for a chance to save her own career? Discover what is in store for Anna and Delmare in Mikayla Whitaker's paranormal romance Waveborn.
