This story is about a boy who's 13 years old, named Max. After the tragic death of a neighbor next door, he became very strange and different after new neighbors suddenly move in without anyone knowing. No one knows where they came from and who they are. All anyone knows is that the new neighbors are quiet. However, could that be the case? Max doesn't think so and is suspicious of the new neighbors who live just outside of his window where he sees and hears some very strange things happening next door. After seeing and hearing so many things from the places around him and from next door, Max is pushed to the edge with no one noticing anything but him. What will max do after he finds these mysterious happenings? Will he have to go to drastic measures? Or will startling discoverings say otherwise?

IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back to see IT laughing, watching me walk away. I can't hear her terrible laughter, and I don't want... to... I fall over, feeling woozy. My head spins and I sway as I try to stand. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face. I blow out air and fall over. * * * * 13 year old Colten, takes a shortcut through the field next to his house on his way home. But why can't he reach his destination?
