Every year, there will be someone, any random high school student, will be called upon by the government. It is a revere status, to be Taken, one that promise glory, riches and escape from the dull of the province. But, whoever get Taken, they never came back and nobody know the reason why anyone was Taken at all.
She had live a life with too many unanswered questions about the past. All she want was answers. But, if she pursued it, she will have to face dangerous trials ahead of her and it may cost her friends.
