Children of the Abyss

Children of the Abyss (or Abyssals) have been coming into existence and haunting the world for decades. They are gifted with extraordinary abilities called oddities but have to be hidden away at Waepmerth boarding school for Abyssals on a lone island in the middle of nowhere due to their destructive natures.
When Clarke, a teenage boy from a small country town, is brought to this strange facility, will he get the fresh start he's always wanted or will the chaos prove to be too much? And who is this good looking boy he keeps spotting around campus...
Drama, romance and mystery ensue.
This is my first story that I'm actually going to publish online so criticism is highly welcome as I would love to improve my writing and complete this story the right way.
