Dance in Shadow and Whisper (Marionettes of Myth #1) by SarahandVictoria
27 parts Complete
Kali has always been obedient, but when she takes her first step onto a protected “humans only” high school in suburban Pittsburgh, she knows she was the wrong choice for this mission. Ever since the murder of her parents when she was too young to remember, she’s been sheltered – and trained. She can swing a sword with expert precision, but studying popular human teen magazines hasn’t taught her how to masquerade as seventeen years old. Jason is the target of the mission. She and Yuuhi, who was also designated by his own people to be her partner, must find solid proof that Jason is, in fact, a supernatural phenomenon. Yuuhi sees little more than a socially inept emo kid dressed in conflicting shades of black, but Kali only touches Jason’s hand, and she feels the sting of something dark and deadly. Jason’s shadow is bigger than he is, and if the leaders of Yuuhi’s people find out, Jason won’t be human much longer. The goal of the mission is to protect him, but Kali will find that the only way she can do just that is to break every rule she’s been conditioned to follow. She’ll have to learn how to disobey. Beginning with Kali’s point of view and then shifting to the eyes of other characters, the Marionettes of Myth series introduces Pittsburgh as a superhuman metropolis, a world both wild and conquered by the monsters buried in its seams and darkest shadows. And those monsters will be watching her. ♦ Completed! ♦ [Copyright © 2013 Sarah Godfrey & Victoria DeRubeis] (All current books in the series are available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle format. HIGHEST RANK- #1 in Crush #2 in Paranormal For a moment he just sits there watching me with amused eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. Suddenly he stands up and walks forward until he's only inches from my body. Our faces so close that I can actually see the small sliver flecks in his eyes as they shimmer. "Wha-what are you doing?" I stutter my voice coming out as a breathless whisper. He breathes out. His breath fanning across my face, it smells of peppermint with a hint of orange. I shiver at the feeling. Sending a sensation that's equally as phenomenal as it is terrifying down my body. He leans in just a little closer so that our noses are almost touching. I stare up into his eyes, unsure of what to do. I feel frozen in place, like I can't move, like maybe I don't want to. "Time to seal it with a kiss" he suggests with a smirk. 🔹🔹🔹 Bethany Hibbler has a secret that she has kept from everyone. For 17 years Bethany has never told anybody that she can read minds. But then there's a new guy in school, he's arrogant, rude, egotistical, easily angered, and completely hot-he's Jake Lester. Before, Beth never believed in the paranormal world, but the word impossible seems all too possible when Jake arrives. This book is full of mind reading, a new set of vocabulary words, including: Book of Sacrimboniamat, The world of Eribiss, Eron, & Necrif, a lot of mistakes on Beth's part, some paranormal weirdness, confusion, palm facing stupidity, sarcasm, embarrassing moments, and a whole lot of comebacks. ➖➖ "Oh my freaking God such a good book! The Unblessed Child

23 parts Complete

There are two types of people in The New Realm: those who are blessed by the gods of the four elements and those who aren't even worthy of their family name. They are unwanted, unloved and are simply known as The Unblessed. Eighteen year old Aardriyah Veros has it worse than most, forever living in the shadow of her powerfully water blessed brother and trying to survive in a broken and poverty stricken nation, to support her father and little sister. Matters only get worse when after two weeks of vivid nightmares, she finds herself being hunted and kidnapped by a mysterious robed figure, powered by a glowing amethyst eye amulet. With her elderly neighbour and new found canine friend in tow, our unblessed child sets out on an epic journey to uncover the truth behind her dreams and why she is being hunted. As she traverses the deepest of oceans brimming with terrifying beasts, volcanic ash covered empires and tunnels of haunted kingdoms, Aardriyah learns that there are worse things in The New Realm than being Unblessed.
