I stepped in front of my standup mirror, per usual, to make sure I looked decent. I noticed a bruise on my collarbone, and exclaimed, "Oh no! How did I get that?" I lifted my shirt up, revealing a large gash on my stomach, but when I looked down, there was nothing there. "Oh, great, now I'm seeing things in the mirror." I rolled my eyes. "Astrid, you ready to go?" I heard Jackson call from downstairs. "Yep!" I grabbed my bag and ran out the door of my bedroom and down the stairs, where Jackson and Catelynn were waiting for me. What I didn't notice, though, was how my reflection in the mirror watched me go, hands pressed against the inside surface and eyes wide in a plea of help.
