In the small town of Moorwood, Pennsylvania, everyone knows everyone. Rumors and news spread like wildfire, and when a secret of a high school girl by the name of Keira Walters is leaked, the following days gradually get worse for her as they progresses. Keira constantly finds herself under a spotlight no matter where she goes, and she's the one the town is buzzing about this time around.

At the end of a week, the drama stops - forever. On the night of December 5th, 2016, a gunshot rang out in the cold air, and a week later, Keira was proclaimed dead after turning up missing. Because of everything she went through in the week leading up to her death, the police first deem it as a suicide, but as the story unravels, that may not be the case.

In a confusing network of people and stories that become looped in with Keira's death, only one thing remains true; Keira's death could very well have been a homicide.

Rolford Town. A place I never heard of until the day we packed up and left everything behind. They said it was for a fresh start, but I knew better. You can't outrun ghosts; they cling to you, no matter how far you go. It started off quietly, just like every other town. There was hope for a peaceful life. But it was all a delusion. A naive delusion. At first, I thought it was just the move, just the adjustment. But then things started to change. I changed. It was like this place knew my secrets, knew my fears, and it fed on them. It wasn't long before everything I held onto started slipping away again. Every fragile bits of normalcy I had managed to piece together after that happened. Everything around began to crumble, faster than I could grasp. It felt like the town was swallowing me whole, dragging me into some dark, twisted underworld where nothing made sense. The wounds I tried so hard to patch up were only ripped wider, and deeper by this disgusting place and its people. And yet, I didn't run away. I couldn't. I couldn't when I found you. The you everyone warned me about. The you who was just like me, or so they said - aggressive, intimidating. I was drawn to you, maybe because I saw my own shattered pieces reflected in your eyes. We were both drowning, but somehow, being around you felt like I was breathing again, even if it was just for a moment. But even that.. even that was twisted here. I couldn't leave. Not now. Not when there was still something, or someone, worth fighting for. My brother needed me, even if he didn't know it. And you.. there was something about you that I can't let go. Maybe together we can find a way out of this darkness, break free from whatever curse this town held. Pascal Lorelei has an infinite amount of secrets and has no identity known by those around him. He uses anyone he can find to benefit him and his sick needs. Zara Violetta has switched personalities with her twin sister after the death of their mother, and now let's no one in behind her mental walls of protective armor. Delanie Violetta loses her voice after her mother dies and drowns in a relationship with her past flame. Habits she had weened off of slowly arise from the depths of her past to haunt her. Xandria Daimhin has fallen into her drug-induced ways every day since the love of her life disappeared from school and severed all contact from her until the next school year. Alec Clover develops severe jealousy issues when he discovers his old flame entangled with a new student all while being exclusive with his longtime best friend. Victor Daimhin hides a dark past behind his charismatic demeanor and refuses to let anyone know about it. If anyone would know, they would have to take it to their grave. Jacquelyn Lorelei has to live day to day with the fact that every man she knows and meets is either abusive or psychotic. She wonders when the day will come when they will all explode. Thalia Clover has major imposter syndrome and feels as though her family and friends only interact with her to use her for whatever she could possibly offer at any given time.
