The Government categorise people into four main groups depending on their 'jung' personality. The categories are: "Protectors", "Creators", "Intellectuals" and "Visionaries". However, the INFP - 'Dreamers' - sub division is suppressed from the Government's fear of the creative, curious, dreamers of the world overthrowing them. This fear comes from many years ago, when a corrupt INFP seized power by force and creativity that none of the other personality types possessed. The current Government themselves came to power in this uprising, so they know how dangerous another INFP could be. For this reason, on everyone's 16th birthday, everyone has their personality tested. Anyone who turns out to be an INFP have their memories wiped in an attempt to change their personality, by taking them to a remote location, 'assigning' them a personality type, and re-raising them as that personality type.
When Emeline Stirling, a daughter of the current president, is kidnapped, she is inadvertently pulled into a war that she herself may have had a hand in starting.
